This double did not work out so well. After north passes showing 0-7 or so, south cannot bid again as 2 NT would show a very strong balanced hand and 3m freely bid would show a very strong minor overcall.
There is an alternative with a good hand and both minors and that is to pass initially and hope the bidding comes back at 2 ♥ or 2 ♠ and then you can bid 2 NT for the minors. A direct 2 NT would of course show 16-18 with stoppers.
