This time south has a five-card major so makes a normal overcall. This overcall is marginal for two reasons. Firstly south has only 12 hcp and secondly with 4=5 in the majors there is a reasonable chance that you are walking into east's six-card suit. It is generally much more comfortable overcalling a major in this seat with relatively shortage in the other major as both majors are suggesting that opener's suit is the other major.
Here west competes with diamonds.
